GOTO:Racing announced today that Speed World Challenge and Grand-Am Cup driver Gary Sheehan will be joining the team to bolster the driver line-up starting at Barber Motorsports Park on July 29th, 2006.

Sheehan will co-drive with Brian Lock at both Barber Motorsports Park and Miller Motorsports Park. Sheehan is a well known figure in the touring car community for his extensive experience racing AWD turbo cars, and Subarus in particular. As GOTO’s Grand-Am Cup program gains traction, the addition of Sheehan’s vast AWD experience and technical expertise is hoped to accelerate the team’s growth and improve race results. Driver Gary Sheehan of Martinez, CA will join Team Lexus for the exciting Grand-Am Cup season finale this week at Fontana’s California Speedway. He will drive the #0 Team Lexus IS300 ST-class racecar, along with teammate Andy Brumbaugh. The #0 car will be in a team points-scoring role; currently Team Lexus is in the running for a top-three finish in the Manufacturer’s Championship. The hopeful pair of drivers will join the two other Team Lexus IS300 entries on-track, all sharing the goal of securing Team Lexus victory in this the final race of the 2004 Grand-Am Cup season.
